Introductions

Well since Limbo wants to shake things up here - lets introduce ourselves.

I'm Michelle and I did my MBA at USF from 2001-2004. I graduated last May. I was a part time student - holding down a full time job while I was at USF. When I think back to this time last yaer I am not quite sure how I managed to do it.
I have to say I never really participated in USF activities that much though I did sometimes go to the thirsty thursdays that the MBA social group put together.
I really enjoyed my time at USF and just recently got a new job at Genentech - largely because of having the MBA.

Yay Michelle! michelle's graduation party is still talked about in some circles as one of the best parties ever...

while i do so hate talking about myself, i'll get over myself just this once. I'm limbo, I'm a Grad student at the relatively new Internet Engineering track in the computer science department. Only just started at USF this term (spring '05) but i'm really enjoying being back in academic circles. Looking forward for 2 interesting years!

Hi! I went to USF for my undergrad, and liked it so much, I stayed for grad school! I will graduate with my masters in nursing in May 2005. I can't wait! I really hope the arm and leg I've thrown down for my education will pay off in the long run. : )

The calendar says I'm the oldest one in this Tribe, but that doesn't mean a thing when it comes to having fun. I just can't drink anymore and I'm a bit behind on the slang.

I went to USF sight unseen in 1970; fell in love with it on the first day; and still love it today. Both my former spouses are USF grads and I'd honestly like the next one to be too (3s a charm). As I say in my profile, I've been a lot more successful professionally than I have in relationships!

When I was fast-tracking in Silicon Valley back in the '80s, my boss "suggested" I get an MBA. Sounded like a good idea (they paid for it) and I didn't apply anywhere except USF (Santa Clara was minutes away).

I moved up to Napa last year to join a small biotech company as its CFO. I've been in and around the industry for years and am happy to help people network. We'll be hiring research-types later this year!

Socially Napa's not the place to be for a single person of any age, but it's especially tough for a guy with eclectic interests.

And Michelle, I've been to South Molton!

Hi Michelle - We're looking for a QC/QA manager right now and will need a more junior QC person in a few months (lots of travel to the heartland of big pharma - New Jersey); and by late spring/ we'll need an analytic chemist and a microbiologist or two. We've developed a hand-held drug delivery system based on purifying dirty water in a field setting. If your friends are interested, let me know and we can take this up off-line.

As an aside, we've made an offer to a USF MBA student who worked for us as an intern last summer. Don't know if she'll say "yes", but I'm optimistic. (Cal and Stanford grads hire their own... why not us?)

Hey there, I'm Marc, I've been working full time for the past 6 years, in the tech industry, and was getting bored of the same old thing, so last semester I tried the USF Internet Engineering program while working full time also. I love the program so much, that I quit my full time job, and now I'm a full time student. Yay! Classes and people in the program are really interesting and engaging (well, at least a select few of the people are, and you know who you are (mostly the ones on tribe!)
